Our u16's were at home in Lisatunny on Sunday for a tough game with a very strong Kilfeacle team. The boys got off to a good start and attacked from the off. After early pressure we managed to take the lead with a penalty kick from Dean Carey. After some very risky ball carrying from Michael Cleary, he managed to get in for our first try with Carey converting, giving us a 10 - nil lead.
Kilfeacle came back strongly at us and got the next 2 tries, giving them a 2 point lead. The Nenagh lads worked hard however and Darragh Murphy scored our next 2 tries with excellent carries and super strength. Carey added another conversion and the boys managed to finish out the game with a 5 point victory. Both teams battled well and fought a tough battle . We continue with a North Munster league game v Old Crescent next Sunday, again at home. All support welcome.
