Nenagh Ormond under 16s played Young Munster in the quarter final of the north Munster cup last Friday evening. It was a lovely evening for running rugby with both teams contributing to an entertaining game. Nenagh kicked the game off and got their hands on the ball very quickly. After some clever play Cian Murphy scored in the
corner. Nenagh kept the momentum going and scored again soon after through Ben Madden. Young Munster were unlucky not to score after some powerful carries by their forwards. Nenagh scored again soon after, a brilliant offload by Shaun Murphy to Oisin Higgins sent him through a gap. Young Munster had good spells in the game, but the Nenagh defence held firm. Further tries followed from Tadhg Teefey, Harry O’Gorman, Marcus Finn and Jack Gleeson. Young Munster scored late on with a well worked try of their own. Nenagh are now through to the semi-final with the opposition being UL Bohemians or Desmond away. Training continues Wednesday
