NORTH MUNSTER U14 LEAGUE
KILRUSH RFC 29 NENAGH ORMOND 17
Last Sunday our U14s made the long trip to Kilrush RFC in the second round of the North Munster league. In all 18 boys made the trip and as usual everyone got loads of game time. Though short a few key players, everyone was in good form and traimimg has gone well.
The game started badly for NORFC with the concession of an early converted try, which followed a quickly taken penalty. This vein continued for the first half with numerous handling errors, knock ons and other
basic mistakes. However we rallied with a well taken try by Sean Ryan and another by Tristan Madden - Mason Cawley in hard luck for a third.
All square at half time, the home side ran in 3 tries to our 1 in the second half and were deserving winners on the day. However a lot of positives can be taken and, but for a few missed tackles the scoreline would have been more favourable. On the day Mikey Morgan was busy all day, Mason Cawley was excellent in defence and attack and Tristan Madden did very well. A special shout out to Zac Keller who made his debut after a number of years of semi retirement....
Sincere thanks to the parent's who made the 280km round trip.
Training continues Wed night at 7pm in Tyone.
