Last Saturday (29th December) saw another hugely successful Junior Rugby Camp in which of all ages took part. This is the third year that this camp has been run over the Christmas holiday period and it has grown each year with over 100 children for the first time this year.
The camp, which ran from 10 am until 3pm was overseen by a committed group of volunteer coaches, led by organiser Dinny Farrell. For many of the participants, it was the first opportunity to get into action with their new Nenagh Ormond rugby gear, specially delivered by Santa a few days earlier.
Activities included learning of new rugby skills across all age groups as well as fun activities such as tug-of-war and the coaches' specially designed obstacle courses. By the time the day's activities drew to a close on Saturday afternoon, there were lots of tired but happy children being collected by their parents who will undoubtedly have a few rugby jerseys to wash over the coming days!
Special thanks goes to all the coaches, parents and players who helped out on the day to make the camp a successful and enjoyable day for all!
