Nenagh Ormond under 13s made the trip to Bruff on Sunday. Nenagh started very well and ha the Bruff defence under pressure from the kick off. James Dwyer finished off a back line move by rounding the defence to score in the corner. Nenagh kept the momentum going with good carries from Aidan Steed, Anluan White and Scott Powell leading to the next score in the corner from Donagh Carmody. The forwards also got in on the act with tries from second row Aidan Ryan and back row Luke Slattery. Freddie Mitchell finished off another excellent back line move, collecting the ball in his own half and dotting down under the posts. Nenagh made wholesale changes at half time but kept the momentum going. There was some brilliant defence work, with Bruff camped on our line for a good 10 mins. Bruff were made to work very hard to eventually get a score. Nenagh replied with 2 more tries, both from Donagh Carmody. The first of those tries showed some brilliant foot work to score under the posts and the second one was thanks to great vision from Kaden Fogarty who moved the ball wide into space where Donagh collected and scored under the posts. A good team performance overall, good in attack and very good in defence. Particular mention goes to Marcus Finn whose tackling was outstanding today. Training continues each Wednesday evening. Our next game is at home to Young Munster on Sunday week.
