Nenagh Ormond under 13s played Ballina/Killaloe in the perpetual trophy at this age group on Sunday last. Ballina/Killaloe have held the trophy for the last 2 years and Nenagh were eager to win it back. Weather conditions were perfect for running rugby and Nenagh did not disappoint. Nenagh started very well and proved to be too strong for the opponents. There were some excellent tries scored by James Dwyer (3), Joe Fahy , Robbie O Brien (2) and the pick of them by Harry Walsh with a fine individual effort. Ballina/Killaloe did score 2 tries of their own from their powerful no 8 who carried very well all game. Our next game sees us playing Shannon in the cup semi final on the 16th of April. Training continues on Wednesday night.
